Here’s to new starts and strong beginnings!

This year will bring a lot of new things for me as an author, teacher, and writing peer. I am so excited to share those with you here:

1. I’m officially a full-time author! Yay! It’s taken a terribly long time and been a bumpy road, but I am now able to spend my working hours doing what I love most – writing! That also means I get to be more intentional about communicating with my readers, bringing valuable editing and publishing advice to my fellow writers, and delving more into the fantasy world of RISE I’ve created. I’m excited to expand on that in the coming months and to bring on some much needed extra help to keep me focused (thanks Michelle!)
2. I’ve been accepted by the NW Editor’s guild as an accredited editor. Though I’ve been writing and editing since my (long ago) university days, but I’m excited to join the NW Editor’s Guild’s long list of esteemed and vetted editors to provide Editing and Coaching as an official service. This will be launched under The Write Wyss. My social media lead and I will be bringing you my usual tips & tricks via the site here, as well as on my social media channels. Give a follow!
3. There have been some big changes at RISE! I’m thrilled to introduce The RISE Review to Phoenix Rising readers—the Review is a place to step into the world of RISE, suspend disbelief, and spend a little more time with our favorite spy-in-training, Vivian, and her friends. Read the latest edition to learn more about Summer’s Son—Sam’s story and the NEW AUDIOBOOK RELEASE of a Flash of Fire, narrated by the incredible, Erin Chmela.

I’ve been at this writing “thing” for a long time! Many of you have been close and dear friends on that journey. I owe you my sincerest thanks for your support over the years, but we’re only just getting started!
